Hi, I’m Charlotte Brown, the flour-dusted heart behind Bake Union. I may not have been born in Greece, but it’s where I’ve found my kitchen soul. I’m 34, originally from a small coastal town in the UK, but for the past eight years, I’ve called the sun-drenched hills of Naxos home. My days are filled with the scent of sourdough crusts cracking in the oven, and my evenings often end with me testing new glaze ratios while listening to cicadas outside the window.

Bake Union started as a whim just a place to collect my notes on baking in a tiny Greek kitchen with a temperamental oven. But as I adapted British classics to Mediterranean ingredients, I found a rhythm, a fusion, and a growing circle of fellow food lovers curious about the dance between tradition and invention. Now, it’s become a full-fledged baking journal for the creatively curious.

I write for food bloggers who see baking as both a science and an art, who obsess over crumb texture, who feel a flutter of joy when a bundt releases cleanly. I’m not here to gatekeep recipes I’m here to share what’s worked, what’s failed spectacularly, and how every bake, even the lopsided ones, tells a story.

I experiment constantly think orange blossom Victoria sponge, or koulouri-inspired cinnamon buns. Some ideas flop, some take flight. Either way, I share the process, the tweaks, the lighting fails, and the flour storms. I believe food blogging is better when it’s honest, messy, and full of flavor. Whether you’re here to perfect your pâte sucrée or just to geek out over proofing times, I’m so glad you found your way to my little corner of the internet.
